PROCESSING TIME

Q.  Yay - I placed an order! When will it ship?

A.  Thank you so much for your order! It is important to keep in mind that all Oyster products are made to order. Orders are carefully hand packed in the order in which they are received and are delivered to the post office within 3-5 business days of the order being placed. Large oyster orders of 5 or more, special orders and custom items take longer will require a little more time. Please reach out to me with any questions! ZoeyLaneWaco@gmail.com

 

SHIPPING & CARRIERS

All orders ship via USPS Priority Mail, USPS First Class Mail (lightweight items) or UPS. These are our preferred shipping methods, as packages generally arrive quickly to your doorstep - the boxes are handled less, reducing the likelihood of damage to your fragile items.

Canadian orders ship via USPS, Priority Mail International or UPS

Q.  Why does shipping seem expensive to my address? Do you create the rate?

A.  The rate shown at checkout is calculated by the United States Postal Service (USPS) and/or UPS, and is based on my zip code, your zip code, the box size and the box weight. I do not create or control the rate.

The closer you live to Texas (where Zoey Lane is based) and the smaller/lighter the item, the less expensive the shipping will be.

Boxes over 1 cubic foot (which are used to ship larger items) will see higher rates than small boxes, based on recent calculation adjustments and rate increases by the USPS in the summer of 2020. I do not charge my customers any handling fees or for insurance - I cover those expenses myself.

Once the order is taken to the post office, it will arrive in 1-3 days to your address (Priority Mail / UPS). First Class Mail orders generally take a bit longer. The USPS and UPS deliver mail every day of the week except for Sundays and Federal Holidays.

Q.  My package says it was delivered to my address, but I can't find it.

A.  Please check your garage, front door, porch, with your neighbors, your apartment main lobby, etc. Once an item says it was delivered to your address, any further issues will need to be pursued by the customer with USPS or UPS

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

 

Oysters

Zoey Lane is unable to refund a hand painted oyster if you simply change your mind. Each oyster is made-to-order specifically for you, the customer so please choose carefully. Zoey Lane is not a corporation so product returns cost money that cannot be recuperated. If you believe you have received an item that wasn't as described, please contact me immediately so we can try to sort it out as I always want to be sure you are 100% happy!

Home Decor

Home Décor items will only be accepted for return under the following guidelines:

  • Items are still in their original packaging and unmarked.
  • Shipping cost to return exchanges (previously discussed between customer and seller) is the customer's responsibility.
  • Zoey Lane cannot be held responsible for the non-arrival of returned items, so tracking is advised.
  • Refunds exclude the initial shipping fees.

 

While we take every precaution to ensure your goodies are well-packed, sometimes the inevitable happens and products can be damaged during shipment due to mishandling by the carrier. (We are very skilled at packing, and this happens EXTREMELY rarely!) 

 

Please contact Brooke immediately at ZoeyLane@gmail.com if your order has been damaged during shipment. Please attach a photo; once verified, you will be immediately refunded for your purchase. We aim to make our customers happy and will make this right for you.

 

All shipments are insured at our expense. Please retain the box/damaged item, as Zoey Lane will need specific photos to file a USPS / UPS claim. Again, you will be refunded immediately, but please retain the packaging/item so we can submit our claim.

 

Zoey Lane is not responsible for stolen packages. Please contact your local police to determine next steps for package theft. Please click here to read more on the USPS website.  Once an item has been marked by the carrier as delivered, stolen items will need to be claimed with USPS or the applicable carrier.

SITE SECURITY

Q.  Is checking out on the Zoey Lane website secure?

A.  Yes! Zoey Lane is hosted by Shopify. All domains connected to Shopify are protected with SSL certificates. With SSL, visitors can access a constant, secure connection on every page. SSL prevents hackers from impersonating sites or stealing information that customers submit, like an email address or a credit card number. The checkout page is also protected by SSL to protect your credit card information.
